

Cynthia Jeanne Terry, of Las Vegas, passed away April 7, 2017 after battling a multitude of health problems with courage and grace. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be sorely missed. Cindy was born December 5, 1946 in Worcester, Massachusetts to Herbert Shaw and Audrey (Pixley) Shaw. She and her father moved to Long Beach, California in 1951 and then to Las Vegas in 1956, where she graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1965. Cindy married Lewis Terry, the love of her life, in 1967. In 1968 Cindy and Lew were blessed with their loving daughter, Karena. That same year, her father married Valera Cannon adding to Cindy’s family a mother, sisters, and brother. As the Manager of the Buster Brown shoe store on Alta & Decatur in the 1970’s, she truly loved helping parents and their children find the perfect fit. Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Lewis; daughter, Karena (Timothy) Larson; two grandchildren, Landon and Kendall; step-mother, Valeria Shaw; step-sister, MaryAnn (Garry) Miller; step-brother, Richard; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents and step-sister, Susan Miller. Cindy will be remembered for her gifting of Bath and Body products, her love of candy, candles, and most importantly seafood. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Cindy’s name to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
