
I just heard of Dan’s passing. Though it’s been a few years I still felt to share some memories. Condolences and love to his family. 

I had the opportunity to be directed by Daniel Stewart twice. He was was my first director in professional theater, he hired me at 20 years old. Things he said and taught me about about acting are things that I’ve repeated and carried with me for years. To say that he was a fundamental part of my growth as a young actor would be an understatement. “What is it you want to be understood?” He believed in me and pushed me hard at the same time. Instilling confidence while simultaneously reminding us all that were replaceable. The light in his eyes and smile on his face when you got something just right was contagious. And made you want to get it right again and again. He was a talented creative, genius director and wonderful human. My heart is heavy but light with memories of what he taught me and will carry them with me always.

Dan and I lost touch and I have been looking for him for many years. I very sad to learn of his passing. Dan was indeed a man of many talents. He was very creative with a great sense of humor  and infectious laugh. The world is a bit dimmer without his light.

We grew up together in Florida. Then he was, and forever will be to me, Danny. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of our adventures together, including the backyard stage shows we used to create. 

My heartfelt sympathy to his family. The Stewarts all hold a special place in my heart.

I was Dan’s musical director for many years in regional theaters,  his touring company and for Big League. He was a close friend and confidant and his passing is devastating to me. 
I was also close with Millie and if she is still with us, I send all my love to her.

     Over ten years’ of demonstrating strong leadership, motivational and management skills. Evidenced  by consistently sound judgement superior capacity for organization and multi-tasking . Problem solving and excellent customer service including policies, and development of gathering and analyzing information. 
     Daniel was a very talented man in many fields.  Music, Art, Director of Plays in many cities in the world. He was  loved and will be missed by family and many, many friends all over the world.
