So very sorry to hear of David's passing.  We attended college at the University of South Carolina.  Rest in peace David.

I miss dave more as time passes.  No one has many friends with whom to share thoughts straightforwardly.  I could always count on Dave for his honest and direct feedback.  Our conversations always made me think more deeply about the people around me and about my relationship to them.  

I wish him a good rest.  I hope his fine family and two strong sons and family have long and happy lives.  

See you on the other side Deac.  Hope you  remember the scuffles we had in our room at CWC.  Love you man.  I would love to contact your family.

Sylvia, I just found out today of Dave’s passing. I’m so sorry. He was great man. He really wanted the best for you, Devonte and Devan. I truly enjoyed talking to him about the Air Force and strategies to give his sons the best opportunity to succeed. He was so proud of ya’ll. I really miss him. This is tragic. I’m sorry.

I just found out about Dave. We absolutely loved his social personality and seeing him at sporting events and on his walks. He was a great man and husband who raised 2 of the most kind-hearted boys. I’m so sorry we couldn’t share his memory and honor him with you all at his service. Please know we love you and will miss his presence.

David came to work at the NFO in June of 2020 and I was immediately impressed with him.  David's willingness to share his knowledge, work to improve situations, and explain details to others made him a go-to person for many of us.  I knew when he left he would be sorely missed; I hope his last few months were spent enjoying life and not fretting about what was going on at work.  I am sorry he has passed and I share my heart-felt condolences and prayers to all his family and friends.  Elaine

Never got to meet David in person but I was always treated with warmth and respect. I am grateful for the many conversations we held together in giving his insight to guide me in the right direction and I will always cherish those memories. Full of wisdom he was great at giving his insight into many different aspects, always looking to help, and I wish I learned more from him. He was a good man with good intentions at heart, respectful, successful as in his career and as a father. God bless David's soul and thank you for everything you've done for everyone whose life you've touched. 

David was Best Man at our Wedding March 23rd, 2020 hours before Knoxville was shutting down.
David was always willing to drop everything and be there for a friend.

Dave, the day that we received the message that you passed, brought great sadness. Dave, our family will  miss you and we will always remember and love you. Family, we are always here when you need us or not.

It was nothing short of a pleasure to know Dave! He was kind, funny and always made me feel like part of the family when I was around. He’ll truly be missed! Until we meet again, friend.

Dave was a truly wonderful friend and neighbor. He was kind, generous, and he saw the best in everyone. Every time he did something really nice for me or my kids, I would thank him, and he always replied with, "Hey, you guys are family." Well, it was really nice to be part of Dave's "family," and it's strange and sad to think that we won't be spending our retirement years together, debating politics and sharing our kids' challenges and accomplishments. Rest in Peace, Dave. You will most definitely be missed.

It was a great pleasure to get know and work with Dave over the years. We had many similarities in our life journey. I will truly miss our personal friendship and professional experiences. May his soul always rest peacefully.

Dave Reeder was a fine young man whom I enjoyed seeing and speaking with while he lived here in Lovell Hills. I remember him as being very kind, gentle and extremely knowledgeable of this community and about any topic we engage in. He told me he was moving to Las Vegas and now that he has transitioned on to heaven, he is surely missed until we meet again. Dave thank you for your kindness and generosity and for always stopping to talk with me whenever I saw you out on your walks here in Lovell Hills. Rest In Peace my friend and God’s blessings to your family.

Dave was wonderful to know.  He was a strongly moral and religious man who loved his family and who hoped for the best for the society he lived in.  I spent many afternoons watching football with Dave, who had played college ball and had a lot of insights into the game that I would never have deciphered.  We often talked over breakfast while he lived in Knoxville, Tennessee.  He often spoke with affection of his wife and two sons.  He was proud of his wife's professional success and of his sons' academic progress and service in the U.S. Air Force.  He was always active and physically fit.  Dave often called me in Tennessee while he was walking early in the morning in Las Vegas-he told me he could escape some of the oppressive summer heat there by getting out before dawn.  I was lucky to have such a good friend as Dave Reeder and will always remember what a kind and thoughtful man he was.  

Dave was a great friend and will be missed! Dave and I called each other good friend, great friend, best friend, and brother. It was an honor and privilege to have been able to share some Dave's time here on earth. It hard to say goodbye to such a great, smart, and humble person. I will have fond remembrances of Dave!
