Delena "Dee" Marie Scapellato Pierson, 47, passed away Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, in Las Vegas. A former resident of Duquesne, Pa., Delena relocated to Las Vegas in 1985. She was born Feb. 8, 1963, in McKeesport, Pa. Delena is survived by her children, Robert Fierst (Jacalyn) and Breanna Reid; grandchildren, Blake and Ayden Fierst; father, Charles Scapellato Sr.; siblings, Veronica Scorsome (Steve), Sandra Harshman (Mickey), Mary West (Jim), Charles Scapellato Jr. (Tiffany), Ronald Scapellato (Nona), Jeffrey Scapellato (Jennifer) and Marjorie Gourn (Chuck); close friends, Kennedy Webster and John Simon; 22 nieces and nephews; and four great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Alice Bobbs Scapellato. Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, with services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
