Las Vegas, NV - DeLois "Dee" Trumble Hale, devoted and beloved mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother known as "GiGi," loving sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, at the age of 87.
Dee was born on October 2, 1938, in Kanab, to Russell Trumble and Hazel Farnsworth. She often described Kanab as "the most beautiful little town in the world." At the age of two, she moved with her family to Las Vegas, where she spent the remainder of her childhood and adult life.
She began her education at 5th Street Grammar School and graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1957. During her high school years, Dee was actively involved in numerous activities, including Girls State. One of her greatest joys was performing as a member of the Rhythmettes for three years, proudly participating in the school's renowned precision dance and drill team. These years were filled with treasured memories and lifelong friendships that she cherished throughout her life.
Following graduation, Dee earned a full scholarship to Nevada Southern, now known as the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. At the time, the campus consisted of only a single building, a humble beginning for what would become one of Nevada's leading universities.
Dee married and became the proud mother of three children, who remained the center of her world throughout her life. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family, celebrating every milestone and achievement. Whether attending performances, ball games, award ceremonies, graduations, or academic recognitions, she was always present, offering unwavering love and support. She was her family's greatest cheerleader, and every child and grandchild felt like they were her favorite. Her warmth, kindness, and unconditional love touched everyone who knew her.
At the age of 21, Dee became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in many callings throughout her life. Her greatest joy in church service came from teaching and nurturing young children. Her strong testimony and steadfast faith served as a guiding example to her family and all who knew her.
Dee is survived by her children: Jody Holt, Jill Hawkins, and David Hale (Nakia).
She also leaves behind ten beloved grandchildren: Paul Lunkwitz, Kevin Lunkwitz (Kristen), Trevor Hawkins (Jen), Whitney Hawkins, Sarah Poissant (Kelly), Brandon Hale, Andrew Hale, Lillian Hale, Jackson Hale, and Brayden Hale.
