Remembering today one of the best big brothers and best friend I in my life.  Lots of memories of 4th of July bar-b-que at his house with the swimming pool watching him and his daughter Annie both diving off the board into the pool with Annie sitting on his shoulders.

The long talks we had in those later years about his time in the war and about Duke, the dog he loved so very much. 

Picked up the phone yesterday just to hear him answer.
You blessed my life so very much Big Brother and you are missed so much.
Love you and will see you again.

Dearest Betty,
You know you have always been the sister I prayed for and Dennis was my big brother.  We became extremely close since the passing of our parents 6 years ago.  I find myself reaching for the phone to call him just to talk.  He always made me laugh, but he also told things as they were with no polish or gilding.  I love you both and I pray God will bring you some peace with his passing.  We never know what God has planned for us.  I know in my heart my Big Brother is in heaven with our parents.  We will both see him again and on that day we will rejoice.  I miss him so very much and I know you do too.  Know that you are in my prayers.

Dear Betty,
So sorry to hear about Dennis, he was a GREAT guy, but you already know that! I miss our breakfasts and lunches that we used to have at the lake before C19. I loved his stories about all your boating and over night events you guys had in California. Dennis is the one that started our boating club to begin having over night and camping events again! So when we have more events next year I will always remember who started them going again.
You guys will always be in our prayers.

Many fond memories of Dennis and the Las Vegas Sail & Power  Squadron.  Penny and I enjoyed Dennis’ s and Betty’s company at many Breakfasts for Boaters at Lake Mead. Dennis always entertained with war stories of his boating experiences and his many  contributions to the country’s efforts during the Vietnam war. Dennis was a valued colleague and a great friend. He will be missed.
