Dennis Ray Knutson, 83, of Pahrump, Nevada, passed away August 5, 2026. He was born December 8, 1942, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Raymond I. and Velma Stewart Knutson, and was raised in Salt Lake City.

Dennis married Sandie Ketterer in 1963. He worked as a mechanic and enjoyed the outdoors and photography. After living in Las Vegas for several years, Dennis moved to Pahrump, where he made his home for 22 years. He spent many years as the track photographer at Pahrump Valley Speedway.

He is survived by his daughters Michelle, SinDee, and Trudi (Chad); grandchildren Zane, Megan, Kaylynn, CJ, Tiffany, and Anthony; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and his sister Maryanne.

He was preceded in death by his parents, His wife, Sandie, and her parents, Bob and Clara; sister Judy Carol; and great-grandsons Zachary and Elliot.

At Dennis' request, there will be no services. He will be laid to rest beside his wife, Sandie, in Las Vegas at a later date.
