

Diane Duffy Glismann, a critical care nurse practitioner who once was honored as Nurse of the Year for Colorado and continued her medical career after moving to Las Vegas in 2000, died on Saturday May 27, 2023 at Legacy House of Centennial Hills. She was 88 years old.
Diane was born on February 8, 1935 in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of William and Celeste Strigl Woodley. Raised in Buffalo, she earned her RN diploma at Canisius College, her Critical Care Nurse Certification from the American College of Surgeons and her Bachelor of Science degree from the College of St. Francis.
In the Denver area, Diane had extensive emergency medicine hospital experience and a career in quality resources at Kaiser. In addition, she was President and Chief Executive Officer of HRN Colorado, a nursing professional placement and retention consulting firm.
Diane took an active role in the medical profession serving as the state delegate to the American Nurses Association and she served on the Colorado’s Governor’s Council for Emergency Medicine, the Board of Directors of the Colorado Medical Political Action Committee and the Colorado Heart Association. She was also President and State Legislative Chairperson of the Colorado Medical Society Alliance.
While in Las Vegas, Diane was a Case Manager at Mountain View Hospital. She was very involved in her community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Sun City Summerlin Community Association and doing various projects such as renovating the Summit Restaurant.
She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Crowley of Canton, GA, a son, Kevin (Jane) Rahill of Wellesley, MA. and three daughters, Sharon (Harold) Cutler, of Big Flats, N.Y., Suzanne (Frank) Carmody of Littleton, CO., and Michele (Nate) Williams of Reading, MA.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Patrick and Timothy Rahill, Harold (Katie) and Nicholas Cutler, Kelly and Kerry Carmody (John), Amanda Williams, three great grandchildren, Paxton, Myles and Chase Cutler and several niece and nephews.
Diane enjoyed travel, tennis, golf, working out, music and theatre. She was a fashion model throughout her life as well as an actress and singer in her Sun City Summerlin community. She loved to learn and was a great role model on how to keep active and involved in her community.
In celebration of her life, please raise a glass of wine and a handful of popcorn, both of which she loved!
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made in honor of Diane Glismann to the Alzheimer’s Association.
A service will be held at Palm Mortuary - Cheyenne at 11:00 am on Wednesday May 31, 2023 with a reception at Legacy House of Centennial Hills at 1:00 pm.
