It is with much grief we announce the passing of Donald Jiles, on April 16th 2021, after a courageous fight with cancer. His final days were spent surrounded by the family and friends he loved so very much. Donald's life may have been cut short, but he touched the hearts of so many in his 41 years.
Born in Carson, California, Donald spent most of his life in Southern California. A graduate of Carson High School he pursued Automotive Mechanics and spent 10 years as a Specialized Mechanic. He joined the US Army in 1999 and continued with the California Army National Guard in 2002, with which he deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. A gearhead through and through, of course he had his own projects including his 1990 Harley that was handed down from his uncle and Pappy, an '86 Chevy Pickup continually handed down from his Grandpa.
Donald met the soul his heart had been searching for in 2013. Kim was the love of his life, along with "the kids" Haylee and Brody. He didn't have step-children - he simply had children. They never called him a step father he was their “Bonus Dude”. So, in 2015 he packed up from California and turned the page to start a new chapter in Las Vegas.
Donald is survived by his wife, Kim, "the kids" Haylee and Brody and Godson Elroy. Also, his parents Michael and Sandra, older sister Darlene, younger sister Denise, life-long family friends Kevin and Jenny. As well as many other family members & friends.
Donald's life was a blessing. His memory a treasure. He is loved beyond words, and will be missed beyond measure! We will be having a BBQ in his honor in Las Vegas and then his ashes will be laid to rest in California at a later time, due to Covid. In lieu of flowers, there will be an account set up for the family he leaves behind.
