

Donald Eugene Thompson was one of six children born to Jodie and Delores Thompson on July 25th 1949 in San Diego California. Donald entered into the world after his twin brother Ronald. Donald became the third child of Jodie and Delores Thompson. Donald attended Fontier Elementary, Point Loma Jr High, Gompers Jr High, and he graduated form Lincoln High School in June 1967. Sports was one of Donald's passions. He especially loved football and played football from a very young age. Donald also played Little League baseball and Pop Warner football. He was good at whatever sport he played and loved to watch and talk about sports to anyone. Donald was a member of Phillips Temple CME Church and sang in the choir until he joined the Air Force in 1968. Donald was a smooth dancer and a slow groover on the dance floor. Donald also sang with the "Amazements Group" along with his older sister Valicia his brothers and friends. He was quite the tenor. Some of Donald's hobbies included working on cars and test driving them. Donald's first car was a 1949 Plymouth, better known as the bomb, purchased jointly with his twin brother Ronald. In his spare time Donald loved hanging with his brother and friends through out his younger years. Donald served in the United States Air Force for four years. Donald worked at the Hilton Casino for 28 years in the Keno section. Donald is preceded in death by his parents Jodie and Delores Thompson and both his sisters Marilyn and Valicia. He is survived by his significant other Vivian Kainzrants;his son Joey E. Thompson (Gina Marie Snead); grandson Omar Rabb Muhammad; and three brothers Jodie; Robert (Yvonne) and Ronald (Beverly) Thompson.
