Dorothea “Dot” Alice Stewart passed away on April 29, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was 76.
Born on November 27, 1948, Dot lived a life full of spirit and adventure. Her journey took her from the vibrant streets of New York City to the historic charm of Stuttgart, and ultimately to the bright lights of Las Vegas, where she made her home and her mark.
Dot collected a variety of careers during her life, most notably as a casino investigator for Caesars Entertainment, where she spent many years uncovering secrets and stories behind the scenes. She was never short on tales of her undercover work—each one told with her signature wit and flair. Her sharp mind, sense of justice, and love of a good story made her unforgettable to all who knew her.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Dot is survived by her daughter, Deirdre Kennedy; her son, Christian Stewart and his wife Mandy; and her grandchildren, Jack, Parker, and Olivia. She is also remembered fondly by her former husband and lifelong friend, Edwin Stewart.
Dot was a lifelong dog lover, always having a canine companion. Her beloved girl Sadie will miss her deeply, as will all those who knew and loved Dot’s fierce loyalty, unique humor, and deep heart.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that Dot lived life on her own terms. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of life will be held on June 14th in Las Vegas. Details will follow.
