I missed so much time fighting battles that should’ve been left behind long ago and lost time with you. Every weekend spent with you and my aunts watching doctor who and eating meatballs and beating up my brothers are now vivid memories I will hold close to heart. Remember talking to you and pop-pop from Afghanistan and the phone being passed back and forth and no one could hear me, amidst the chaos and turmoil it made my day. Sorry I missed so many memories and more with you. I’ll never forget.

Mom loved a nice cold beer. In the last months, she couldn't drink any because of her medication so when she asked for a beer I gave her a Sprite and said, "Try this."

She took a sip and said, "Ahhh, a nice cold beer!"

When I gave her a Diet Pepsi she said, "I like this wine cooler!"
I said, "Did you really like that cooler?"
And she said, "Yes, I had two and Eleanor had three!"

Mom, we had gone through good times and bad together. I will never forget your love, kindness and humor. It was an honor to have been chosen to care for you in the end. I will forever hold you with me. Fly to dad now, mom. I love you.

Our sweet Dot was like a grandmother to our Noah and Christian! She always watched the boys playing outside and so many times knew I didn’t have dinner ready and would bring dinner over to feed the us! She was so loving and thoughtful and always had her tissues tucked in her waist band ready to wipe the kids faces! She will be forever missed! She was like a mother to Dean and I and we always knew we could count on her and Tony to take care of us! We love Grandma Dot!!❤️❤️😘😘
