Dorothy M. Beckley

Dorothy M. Beckley was born in Chelan, Washington, where she grew up. She was the daughter of Emma and George West. Dorothy was raised with six siblings, Homer, Cecil, Windy, Mary, Billy, and Erm. Dorothy was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years. She attended Eastern Washington State in Cheney, Washington for two years after graduating high school. While growing up, some of her best friends were her family. Later in life, her best friend was her husband, David. Dorothy worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Dorothy was blessed with two children, a son, Michael and a daughter, Susan. Another blessing for Dorothy was the gift of a grandson, Nick, a granddaughter, Michelle, and a great grandson, Jett Beckley. Dorothy passed away on February 28, 2013 at Mountain View Hospital. She is survived by her two children, Michael (Sue Beaumont) and Susan (Chad); her sister, Mary Meinzer; her grandson, Nick (Christy); her granddaughter, Michelle; and her great grandson, Jett. Services were held at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada where she was laid to rest. Arrangements under the direction of Palm Northwest Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
