Dorothy A. Hess-Farmer, 90, a retired dietary assistant, of Las Vegas, passed away Oct. 1, 2012. She was born Sept. 15, 1922, in Beach, N.D., and was a 14-month resident of Nevada. She is survived by sons, Michael Hess of Spokane, Wash., William Hess of Dutch Harbor, Ark., Ronald Hess of Las Vegas, Patrick Hess of Grand Junction, Colo., and Douglas Hess of Big Fork, Mont.; daughter, Beverly A. Meade of Las Vegas; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-noon, Monday, Oct. 8, at Palm Mortuary-Eastern, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services to follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
