

Douglas passed away at the age of 72, on June 4,2022. He was born October 10, 1949, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was the youngest of the three sons, born to the union of Edgar L. and Bernice Broyles. His mother, father and eldest brother preceded him in death.The schools he attended included, Westside Elem., Kit Carson, K.O. Knudsen, and then Rancho High, finishing in 1967.Butch worked many years at the Flamingo Hotel, in different jobs. This is where he met and married his wife of fifteen years, Shirley Durham, who also preceded him in death. Butch's mother had a sure-fire way of keeping peace between the brothers. If there was any fighting between them, they would have put a nickel in the kitty jar, afterwards they had to give a kiss. Butch loved to read his Bible each morning to geat his day started. He loved to sit outside in the fresh air. He was a kind hearted man, and loved by many. Butch is survived by his brother Tony Broyles and wife Dorothy, two nephews, Tony Jr. and Michael Paul. Three great nephews, three great nieces, and one great-great niece. He also leaves to mourn him a close friend Ann Hymon of Chicago, Cliff "C-Dogg" Sparks and Vaar Brewster of Las Vegas, and a host of friends all of Las Vegas. We love you Butch, we'll miss you everyday.
To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. We already know that you are there with Him.
