Douglas S. Coffin, 86, of Las Vegas, passed away Oct. 28, 2011. Born on January 6, 1925 in Los Angeles, California, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired as a Deputy Marshal in Los Angeles County after a distinguished career. Doug is survived by his wife, Fern, his son Douglas Scott Coffin and his wife Michele of Lompoc, CA, and daughters, Kit Erickson and husband Kent of Pocatello, ID, Ann Vaden and husband Randall of Mackay, ID, Carey Coffin of Los Angeles, CA, Jill Nielson and husband Karl of Las Vegas, NV, 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
