I didn’t know Edmund, but I knew Elise. Given her loving, generous, and joyful spirit, Edmund must have been a good father to have raised such a lovely daughter.

I’m praying for peace and comfort for your entire family.

Grandpa E welcomed me with open arms when I first visited the US for my grade school graduation trip back in 2006. It was my first time meeting him back then and he truly made sure that I felt at home with him and my aunts in Las Vegas. I remember laughing whenever he'd share stories about his childhood and how fate and luck played a role on how he ended up migrating to the US years later. What I will always cherish about that trip is our constant brainstorming about the best business ideas for a cozy retirement. We would always talk about these ideas over some Häagen-Dazs vanilla milk chocolate almond bars after dinner and just laugh. He never failed to end these conversations with a reminder that I should study hard, work smart and be a good person.

Years later when he found out that I was taking up Accountancy as my major in college, he started quizzing me about business terms and legalese to make sure my mind was in tip top shape. He always emphasized that I should know certain terms by heart - one of which was the definition of an obligation under the Civil Code of the Philippines (this would always be his follow-up question to me after asking me how I am on the phone haha). I still know all the terms by heart and mind and I will always be grateful to my Grandpa E who always pushed me to do better and strive for excellence.

Little did I know that the questions posed by my Grandpa E would prepare me for the career I am working towards now. I will be forever grateful for your words of encouragement, Grandpa E. The world has lost a great man upon your passing. I will never forget all your heartfelt actions that speak volumes and show all of us how much you loved and cared for everyone around you. We love you and may you rest in peace, Grandpa E.

Love,
Your Filipino-Indian-Chinese Apo aka Pram

For many years, me and Edmund would go startled when we see each other. Don't know how it started but we were laughing our heads off. Never got old. Keep laughing my friend .

I met Edmund in 2002. Newly wed, he was full of jokes about married couples. But he made me understand that family is everything. I am grateful for his wisdom.
Still happily married. Edmund, you are my angel! God got so lucky to have you in his kingdom!
