Edwin O. Hannah, Jr died Saturday April 3, 2021 in his home in Henderson, Nevada. Ed was born in Hilltop, West Virginia on October 6, 1941. In 1943, at two years old, the family moved to Rome, New York where Ed received his early education. He was an outstanding athlete during his high school years excelling at the high jump and earning many awards. Hannah graduated high school in 1959 from Rome Free Academy.
After high school Ed enlisted in the United States Air Force and served for 4 years. In 1963, Hannah attended Bluefield State University in Bluefield, West Virginia and graduated in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
Ed worked as an Engineer for a few companies and finally landing a role with Honeywell where he had a successful 30-year career, retiring in 2004.
Edwin Hannah celebrated his second life after a kidney transplant in September 2007. While he fought medical challenges for many years, Ed continued to have a smile on his face and always felt extremely blessed.
