

Elaine Marie Ertz was born on July 30, 1937 in Sacramento California Her parents were James and Juanita Reker. She married Richard (Dick) Ertz on December 21, 1961. They traveled the world together and lived in Alaska for 20 years before retiring to Las Vegas in 1993. She was adored and will be terribly missed by her husband, Richard Ertz, and her three children, Steve Ertz (Vanessa Patterson), Linda Helwig (Kevin), and Cheryl “Sherri” Corrick (Alan), Elaine’s brother Jim Reker (Virginia); grandchildren Ian Clark, Ryan Corrick (Katie), Shawn Ertz (Jenny), Devon Corrick (Cheryl), Cristina Ertz (Justin Sung), Donovan Corrick, Christine Corrick (Grant Ebenal), Arieanna Corrick Galster, Sakari Corrick, and Jaiden Corrick; great grandchildren Alexander Morse (Sierra), and Taylor, Elena, Logan, Lucas, Brielle, Elias, and Isaac Corrick, Benny and Eleanor Corrick, Madison and Oliver Galster and Madeline Sung; great great grandchildren Payton and Sylvie Morse, her favorite niece Diane Reker Mikelson (Kevin), her favorite nephew Erik Reker (Pepe’), and her darling great nieces Rachel and Megan Mikelson; Best friends for life, Maureen Huggins, her husband Jack, their late son Jackson, and their son-in-law Jacques LeBlanc were family to Elaine and her kids.
Elaine will also be greatly missed by extended family and all of her many friends. She loved us all well and was always interested in every aspect of our lives.
She also dearly loved her pet babies - dogs Sarge, Venus, and Gizmo, and Lil Girl (her precious granddog) and her beloved birds Kiki and Misty Blue.
She was preceded in death by her mother Juanita Reker (1/14/1915 - 6/19/1989) and father James Reker (6/21/1911 - 2/24/2005).
Elaine lived a long and interesting life, whether working; spending time with family; playing cards, mah jong, and Pan with her good friends; going on cruises, or traveling to various countries around the world.
Elaine left this world and graduated to heaven on February 1, 2025. She died peacefully in her sleep and was at home, as she wished, with her two daughters Linda and Sherri, and her BFF Maureen and Jack Huggins by her side.
Per Elaine’s wishes, there will be no services.
