Elizabeth (Renee) was born in Alliance, near Lincoln, Nebraska. During her life, she also called Colorado, California, and Nevada home.
She was a very kind and loyal mom, wife, and friend. Despite the many traumas she survived, including the loss of her dear husband 40 years ago, Elizabeth maintained her smile and sense of humor throughout her life. She found fulfillment in a lifetime of work helping others. As a housing advocate for the low income, she created a Landlord/Tenant Handbook, reviewed and published by the Nevada Bar Association in the 1980s. From 1979 to 1983, she was a member of the Nevada DA's Victim Association. Later, she helped children as a teacher's aide and SafeKey coordinator.
Elizabeth (Renee) loved kids, arts and crafts, writing poetry, Western movies, decorating for holidays, the color yellow, and going on walks. She waited 40 years to reunite with her husband, and while we will miss her, our hearts are full knowing that they are together again.
Proceeded in death by her beloved husband, Lanny Gene Johnson; her parents, Virginia Mae Tucker Yanda, and Everett Yanda; and her brothers, Everett Yanda Jr., and Randy Yanda. Survived by her children, Troy, Dale, and Tracy; and grandchildren, Katherine, Anthony, Thomas, Syrah, Christina, Nate, and Brandon.
