Elvia Lomeli

Elvia Lomeli, 77, of North Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026. She was born in Jiquilpan, Michoacán, and carried the warmth, strength, and traditions of her hometown with her throughout her life.

Elvia was a devoted wife to Jesus Lomeli and a loving mother to her three children: Fernando Lomeli, Patricia Lomeli, and Maritza Lomeli. She was a proud and caring grandmother to Anthony Lomeli, Alejandra Rodriguez, Noah Lomeli, and Aliana Lomeli, who brought her immense joy and pride.

She is survived by her siblings Agustin Villa, Malena Lomeli, Arcelia De La Rosa, Norma Vega, and Esther Fragoso. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Maria Villa and Rogelio Villa.

Elvia worked as a seamstress, a craft she carried out with patience, skill, and dedication. She had a creative spirit and found joy in painting, gardening, and collecting dolls. She loved playing bingo, cooking for her family, going on cruises, and taking time to paint her nails. Above all, Elvia was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith and held a special love for the Virgin of Guadalupe, finding strength and guidance in her prayers.

She will be remembered for her warmth, her humor, and the loving phrases she shared so often: “Que crees, que la luna es de queso?!”, “Que Dios te acompañe,” and “Que Dios te dé más.” Her words and her faith touched everyone who knew her.

Services

A viewing will be held on May 7, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 North Jones Boulevard, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Funeral services will take place on May 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Francis de Sales Parish, located at 1111 North Michael Way, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Interment will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 North Jones Boulevard, Las Vegas, Nevada.

A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Lotus House, 8311 Farm Road, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Elvia’s life was a testament to love, faith, and devotion to family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
