Emilie Anne Irvine
October 17, 1941 – February 8, 2020
Emilie Ann Irvine, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Saturday, the 18th of February at TLC Costa Brava Assisted living facility in Las Vegas.
She was born on October 17, 1941 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Helen May (McCone) and Rex Johnson. She graduated from Groveton High School in Alexandria, Virginia in 1960. She also attended The Washington School for Secretaries.
For many years, she was employed at the Nevada Test site as an administrative assistant.
She is survived by her son Robert JC Irvine Jr. and wife Corie, Daughter Amelia Ann (Irvine) Cabrera and husband Jay, Brother David A. Patterson Jr., Sister Mary (Patterson) Cooke and husband William and grandchildren Alissa M. (Irvine) Paine, Nicole K. Irvine, Robert W. Dunn, Austin J. Irvine, Rebecca H. Cabrera, as well as grandchildren Flint and Kestrel Paine.
She is also survived by her ex-husband Robert J.C. Irvine. They shared a unique and enduring love that divorce could not conquer.
She enjoyed a quiet life gardening, coffee, reading, and caring for her beloved dogs and cats. She was much loved by her family and many friends, and will be missed greatly.
Memorial gifts may be made in the form of a donation to your local animal shelter or rescue.
Her ashes will be spread this summer over her favorite place, The Nebraska Sandhills, on a date yet to be determined.
