Emily Joan Alward, 76, a retired librarian, of Las Vegas, passed away August 29, 2011. She was born July 4, 1935, in West Lafayette, Indiana, and was a 12-year resident of Nevada. She was a member of Desert Rose Romance Writers and daughters of the King. Emily is survived by her daughters, Linda (John) Park and Paula (Anthony) Sekula; and seven grandchildren, all of Las Vegas. Memorial Service will be at 11:00am Friday, September 2, at All Saints Episcopal Church, 4201 Washington Avenue.
