Emily "Sue" Porter

Emily “Sue” Porter lost her brief battle with cancer on July 3rd. She was born in Oakland, CA to Herbert Henry Schmidt and Shirley Ann (Long) Schmidt on Sept. 1, 1949. She spent her childhood mostly in California with frequent trips to Oklahoma to visit family. She actually lived in OK for a while. Of OK she reminisced about throwing Oklahoma red clay all over her cousin, Donna’s dress. You could say she was feisty and STRONG WILLED until the end. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Porter; daughters, Karen and Page; grandchildren, Brittany and Caleb; great-granddaughter, Zoi; brother, Butch and his wife, Chom, and her sweet pug, Rogue. Suzie will be missed by all who got to know her. Memorial Mass will be Friday, July 20th at 11:00am at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Pkwy, Las Vegas, 89104.
