Enrique "Ezequiel" "Henry" Jimenez-Mora

Enrique Jimenez - Mora 68, of Las Vegas, NV. passed away at his residence on August 30, 2025 with his loving wife by his side. He had been recovering from a 2nd leg surgery after a fall taking down Christmas lights. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, he was the son of the late Zenida De La Mora and Joaquin Jimenez. Later they settled in Juarez Mexico until he moved to Las Vegas at a young age on his own.

Enrique came to the United States with a dream for success at the age of 16 years old. He met his wife Corrine in 1977 and married on June 2, 1984. They had 48 adventurous years together. Enrique worked as a Union Carpenter in Chicago for 22 years from the age of 18 until he left Chicago to move to Las Vegas in October of 1996 with his wife and daughters. They joined his oldest daughter Vanessa & their son in law Chris who had settled in Las Vegas the prior year. It was in Las Vegas that they became proud owners of their very first home. Enrique then worked as a Local Union Carpenter in Las Vegas for 17 years beginning in 1994 until he retired in 2011. He took so much pride in all the resort casinos & buildings that he was part of Building. He'd always point out all of the buildings he worked in. it was almost as if he owned a little piece of each one. He loved to cook (he will always be famous for his Holiday Tamales), bicycle riding or playing basketball with his grandson Anthony, he loved traveling with his family, he enjoyed taking his grandson to confirmation while he had quiet time in church, occasionally he enjoyed hitting the slot machines at The Suncoast Casino but most of all he loved spending time with his family and the holidays were his favorite time of year. To his Granddaughters he was known ay Yaya, rather then Grandpa.

Enrique is survived by his wife Corrine, his daughters Vanessa (Christopher) Chiodo, Yvette Perez and Yvonne (Thomas) Cook; his grandchildren, Noelle Chiodo, Natalia Chiodo and Anthony Gessel; his sister Grace Nevarez De La Mora, nieces Marina Nevarez, Gabriela Nevarez, Steven Nevarez as well as many other nieces & nephews that live in Mexico. He was predeceased by his Mother, Zenida De La Mora

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 15 from 4 PM - 6 PM at Palms Cheyenne Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne, Las Vegas, NV 89129. There will be a 2nd visitation on Tuesday, August 16 from 10 AM - 11 AM before the funeral service from 11 AM - 12 PM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Following the funeral will be the burial at Palms Northwest Mortuary & Cemetery, 6701 N. Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. The family will have a funeral reception in loving honor of Enrique at their home.
