Ernie Calderon, 73, of Las Vegas, passed away December 9. 2016. He was born June 11, 1943 in Phoenix, Arizona. He resided in Las Vegas for 36 years and was the respected owner and operator of Vegas Cafe and El Calderon for 32 years. Ernie was an accomplished aircraft electrician at North Island Naval Base in San Diego, California and served proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Ernie is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Celia; daughter, Silvia Lourenco; son, Ernest Calderon Jr.; six grandchildren that he loved dearly; and all of Las Vegas.
