Estela Quadra Amparo was born on March 18, 1950 to Santiago Quadra and Ruperta Panela in Caoayan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. Growing up she had a childhood nickname of Rossi, which many family still refer to her as.
Estela graduated from Ilocos Sur National High School, Vigan Chapter in 1967. After high school, Estela attended the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay in Manila, where she received a B.S. in Nursing. Estela was dedicated to her career as a Registered Nurse in the ICU and PACU for over 40 years.
Estela met Francisco Amparo, a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy, in Memphis, Tennessee through mutual friends. Estela and Frank were married on May 13, 1975 in California, where they raised their daughters, Michelle, Eileen, and Frances.
Family and friends share many fond memories of Frank and Estela lighting up the dance floor with their ballroom and disco moves. They were also avid travelers and skilled bowlers.
Frank and Estela are lovingly remembered by their children, grandchildren, siblings, and their families. Their marriage of 45 years is a testament to the love and everlasting bond that Frank and Estela had for one another.
