Esther Brotherton

Esther C. Brotherton, 98, a former NY model and a retired nurse, passed away February 22, 2013. She was born March 26, 1914 in Abbeyville, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lafayette and Minnie Carr; her devoted husband, John Brotherton, Sr. siblings, James, Dillion and Rosa Carr, sons, Marvin and John Brotherton, Jr., son in-law, Johnny Williams; and daughters-in-law, Helen and Elaine Brotherton. Esther is survived by her caring son, Lester Brotherton; and loving daughter, Betty Williams; adorable grandchildren, Patrice and Leslie Brotherton, Lester Brotherton, Jr. (Gina), Marvin Brotherton, (Terry), Lorrie Smith, Esther Dyer (Wayne), LeShelle Brotherton, and Zerick Dunson (Sonya); her supportive sisters, Irene and Jenny Mae Carr; eleven great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins who loved and will miss "Nana" dearly. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 1st at 4:00pm at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146. Arrangements under the direction of Palm South Jones Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
