Estrella Peralta Tan, a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, and was lovingly reunited with her Lord. Her life was a radiant testament to faith, compassion, and unconditional love.
Born on September 17, 1937, in Ligao, Albay, Philippines, Estrella was the cherished daughter of Ramon Peralta and Concepcion Ros. She was known for her gentle spirit, warm smile, and generous heart—qualities that touched countless lives and left an enduring imprint on everyone blessed to know her.
On April 5, 1960, she married the love of her life, Roland Tan, in Baguio City, Philippines. Together they shared 42 beautiful years of marriage until Roland’s passing in 2002. Their home was a place of love, faith, and unwavering devotion to family—a foundation Estrella continued to uphold throughout her life.
Family was Estrella’s greatest joy. She lovingly raised her son, Hunter Tan, and her daughter, Charmaine Tan Pestano, and embraced her role as a caring stepmother to Rusty Tan. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and deeply loved. Whether through a comforting conversation, thoughtful guidance, or a home cooked meal, she gave generously of herself and consistently placed the needs of others before her own.
Her motherly love extended far beyond her immediate family. To many, she became a second mother, a trusted friend, and a steady source of comfort and encouragement. She celebrated every milestone, cherished every gathering, and found immense happiness in seeing her loved ones together—sharing meals, laughter, and treasured memories. Through her quiet strength and steadfast faith, Estrella taught those around her the enduring values of kindness, humility, generosity, and living a life of service. Her legacy is not measured by worldly possessions but by the countless lives she enriched through her wisdom, compassion, and selfless love.
Estrella is lovingly remembered by her son, Hunter Tan (Rossana Field); her daughter, Charmaine Tan Pestano (Michael Pestano); her former daughter in law, Susan Lazar; and Marjorie Chua, whom she also loved as a daughter; her grandchildren, Francis Tan (Johanna Ching Tan), Anna Tan Altman (Ben Altman), Hunter Tan Jr., and Joshua Tan (Kim La Tan); and her six cherished great grandchildren: Adam Altman, Vanessa Altman, Hunter Tan III, Xander Tan, Westley Tan, and Mila Tan. She is also survived by her beloved siblings: Salome Peralta Antoni (Per Bengt Antoni), Francisco Peralta (Maria Lourdes Peralta), and Chinette Peralta Tutaan (Theron Tutaan).
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ramon Peralta and Concepcion Ros; her husband, Roland Tan; her stepson, Rusty Tan; and her siblings, Fuensanta Peralta Star and Teodoro Peralta.
In addition to those named, Estrella is lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. While too numerous to mention individually, each held a special place in her heart, and she treasured the love and memories they shared throughout her life.
Though our hearts grieve her passing, we find peace and comfort in the promise that she now rests eternally in the loving embrace of our Lord. Her faith, love, and gentle spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
A viewing will be held on July 30, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow on July 31, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., with burial at 10:00 a.m. at Palm Memorial Mortuary & Cemetery, 6701 N. Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, where family and friends will gather to honor Estrella’s life and celebrate the love she so generously shared.
Psalm 23
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.
