Ethel R. Simmons, 93, of Las Vegas, passed away December 6, 2013. She was born in Detroit, MI on February 14, 1920 and was a 23 year resident of Las Vegas. Ethel was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. She worked as an Office Manager at the Chase Bag Company in California. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Carole. Her husband of 57 years, Bob, survives her along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation is from 9AM-11AM on Tuesday, December 10 with services to follow at Palm South Jones Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146. Private interment will take place at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice.
