09/08/25: I can’t believe it’s been 2 years already. We miss her very much at St John Nuemann , she was the Best!

Our deepest sympathies to Evelyn’s family, friends and all she loved and who loved her. We know there are so many who were blessed to be touched by her love. She was a shining example of Jesus, the Good Shepherd’s love and inclusion. My family was blessed in 2008 when we joined the family at SJNC. Evelyn was among the first in our beautiful group of friends, moms, grandparents, Catechists to welcome our family. It all began for us with being a part of Little Children’s Liturgy, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and in joining such a loving Parrish. The memories with her are so many. The time we all spent bonding while training and growing in our faith was priceless as we also watched our children and her grandchildren in the halls playing, creating performances for us and forever giving us a sense of family. It’s hard to believe they are all so grown up now! We moved here not knowing anyone and so quickly we were embarrassed by her and all our family at SJN. Thank you Evelyn for always making us feel part of that family and encouraging me that I could be there (even when I thought I couldn’t) and be an example not only for my four daughters but for all the children we touched with LCL and in the atrium with CGS. The years we welcomed children side by side you taught me so much and you are forever in my heart. Your calming presence was a beautiful gift and made me a better Catholic, wife, mom, Catechist and person. You knew the way to our Lord through the children and encouraged all of us to walk in that journey too!! Whenever I was in the building or in mass if you were there you made sure we hugged, greeted and knew we were home. We love you Evelyn! We will see you again!

Our condelences to Ms. Evelyn's family. She was a special lady and has a special place in our family's heart.  We first met her when she was our daughter's preschool  catechetist. She later became our son's catechist. She always took time before or after mass to talk to us and told anyone who would listen we were one of her favorite little families. She will be missed by our SJN family.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd at SJNC was blessed to have Evelyn as a strong advocate for the program and the children. She completed Level III training in 2013 along with her cgs family.

Evelyn, we became friends many years ago when we volunteered in the kitchen to clean dishes together after the dinners at SJNC. We have shared our faith, our love of our families, and one of my favorite things, we would do game night, usually Yahtzee, and enjoy a meal together. You have shared your love, wisdom and compassion with me and I will miss you very much. You did so much for so many and have left an imprint on our hearts. I love you my friend and think about you every day.

Thank you Ms. Evelyn for always showing us how to be simple and kind. You are always there to give encouraging words and looking at the bright side. Our children are so lucky to have been taught by you...I thank you for the inspiration to be a better catechist...we love and miss you dearly! I will cherish your friendship. Rest well in the company of the Good Shepherd and His Blessed Mother...❤️🙏

Wish we could have more time together to celebrate and hang out,  but the Lord has called you onto your heavenly home now. 
Your friendship was a blessing and we will miss you forever. 
Thank you for the memories, we shared so many joys, sorrows, good times and stressful times.  You have brightened up our days with your kind and loving ways.  You were so special in so many ways we cannot say goodbye, so long our friend until we see you again.

Met Evelyn in 2012 when I joined RCIA, a 2 year program, and Evelyn was just awesome. I saw her as the best fun Mom and the cool grandma. She was just so fun and easy to talk to and be around. She always looked fabulous and always had her hands full. Busy with us all and church. Gonna miss her so much! RIP 🕊️ 

We all loved Evelyn, amazing woman. She will be deeply missed. She served her church, her community, her friends and her family. Good example of a woman.
