Everett Leroy Aird, 85, a resident of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025. A devoted husband, father, brother, and veteran, Everett lived a life rooted in service, love for his family, and a passion for the outdoors.
Born on December 9, 1939, Everett was the son of the late Henry James Aird and Daisy Isabella Aird. He was the middle of five children and is survived by his brother, David Aird, and his sister, Eileen Brooks. He was preceded in death by his brother, Roland Aird; sister, Jane Schikler; and his beloved grandson, Nicholas Aird.
On November 15, 1957, Everett married the love of his life, Geraldine Lee Aird. Together, they shared a beautiful life and raised two children, Lyle Aird and Casey Dubois. Everett was also a devoted dog dad to his two cherished companions, Kimberly and Kayla.
Everett proudly served his country for 32 years in the United States Air Force, Army, and Air Force Reserve. His service was a source of deep pride, and he carried the values of honor, discipline, and integrity throughout his life.
A passionate outdoorsman, Everett loved golfing, bowling, boating, hunting, and camping. He also had a lifelong love for Western movies, old country music, and horses. In his younger years, he competed in rodeo events and continued his connection to horses throughout his life.
Everett will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family, his sense of humor, and his enduring spirit. He was a beloved father, a loyal husband, and a proud American who touched the lives of all who knew him.
A visitation for Everett will be held Monday, May 12, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Northwest Mortuary, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, Nevada 89131. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 1:20 PM at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr., Boulder City, Nevada 89005.
