OBITUARY OF FAYE ALBERTA MAPLES

FAYE MAPLES entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 10, 2026. She was born August 15, 1948, in Danville, VA, to the late Thad Womack and Queen Esther (Giggetts) Womack.

Ms. MAPLES was educated in the Delaware County Public School System, Pennsylvania. She worked in the nursing field at several medical facilities, including Fair Acres Geriatric Center, Media, PA, and Bryn Mawr Hospital, Bryn Mawr, PA. Later in life, Ms. MAPLES relocated to Las Vegas, NV, where she worked at Arizona Charlie’s Casino for nearly 16 years as a gift shop manager.

Ms. MAPLES enjoyed watching sports, spending time talking on the phone with her family, and listening to music. She was a devoted sports fan and could be found on any day watching and cheering on her Dallas Cowboys.

Ms. MAPLES was preceded in death by her son, Marvin Womack, her parents, Thad Womack and Queen Esther (Giggetts) Womack; four brothers, Willie, Thad, Jeremiah, and Ronald; and two sisters, Shirley and Mary.

Ms. MAPLES leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Derrick Maples, one brother, Phillip Womack (Carol) of Pembroke Pines, FL, and one sister, LaVerne Womack of Burke, VA, and a host of relatives and friends.
