OBITUARY

Frances Militello

December 15, 1927May 7, 2020

Frances Militello (Dispense) was the eldest of three children and was born on December 15th, 1927, in Jamestown, NY to Patrick and Rose Dispense. Although a native to the Buffalo, NY area, she moved to Las Vegas in 1992. After settling in the area, she obtained a position as a nanny for former Nevada governor Kenny Guinn’s grandchildren. As time went by, the vast desert and rustic mountains captivated her heart with their raw, unfiltered beauty. She is well known for her loving and thoughtful nature, her selfless love, and generous, giving heart. Whether known as mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, or friend - she was loved and cherished by all, no matter her title. Among her hobbies and passions, Frances enjoyed a hearty laugh among friends and family over an equally hearty meal she prepared, followed with one of the many desserts she enjoyed to bake. She loved talking with her great grandsons, watching golf, reading a good romance novel, as well as enjoying some sappy hallmark movies. She was preceded in death by her parents Patrick and Rose Dispense, and her two siblings, James and Michelene. Frances is survived by her son Martin Militello (Tip), granddaughter Stephanie Soeder (Daniel), great grandsons Jadon and Aaron Soeder, nieces Salli Tulumello (Bob Skelley) and Judy Pruett (Dave), along with many other nieces and nephews; and her dear friend of 10 years, Albert Riccilli.

How I remember the loneliness that Al felt when Doris died. Lo and behold, he met Fran through his hairdresser. I met Fran when I went with Diane to Vegas. She gave a private Cabi showing to Fran and me in Al's living room. Fran and I bought the same white denim jacket. I'll remember her always when I wear it....I remember a memorable Christmas outing to the English Tea Room. Diane treated me, Fran, Aunt Lois, and Sally to a lesson on being "proper" ladies. Fun!!!...Most of all, I loved her homemade shrimp linguini and cream puffs. Priceless!...We're only here for a Visit, and Fran made the most of it while here. Thank you, Fran, for being ours during your journey!

This is one of our Lord's beautiful Angels. I met her in 2016 when she came to see her Sister at Canyon Vista. She always had the sweetest smile that melted my heart. I'm so very blessed that Jesus put her in my life. Jesus welcomed Frances into His loving arms and she now lives with Him forever.
Lord, thank You for bringing Frances into my life. Give Your peace and comfort to her entire family. In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen 🙏🤗💕
