Franklyn Taylor Weiss 8/10/1927 – 5/8/2024 was known by his family and close friends as “buddy”. Frank was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Cleveland before moving to Las Vegas. He is survived by his wife Phyllis, three grandchildren, Michael, Charles and Teresa Weiss and over fourteen children (great-grandchildren), their five grandchildren (great-great-grandchildren), and his nephew and family, Bradley, Janet and Jourdan of Rocklin, CA. He was also “Bonus PaPa” to Phyllis’s daughter and son in law, Denise and Jeff Van Buskirk. He is preceded in death by his son Ricky and daughter, Randy, his brother, Robert and sister, Gloria Phinick and his parents, Benjamin and Annie Taylor Weiss. Frank served his country in the Army and Merchant Marines during the invasion of Japan during WWI as an MP and Corporal. He drove a mail transport big rig for the Las Vegas Post Office for over four decades. He also worked as a Keno writer for ten years at the Stardust. As a young man, he worked as a bricklayer with his father, who worked on the Empire State Building. Frank’s signature sense of humor endeared those who knew him. His memory will live in the hearts of his friends and family forever.
