Gail McLean was born on September 10, 1954 in Andalusia, Alabama. She was the third of eight children. Gail received her education in the Los Angeles School District. She was on the track and field team and won several Championships. She would often tell stories of her Mother (Motherdear) shouting from the stands “You bet NOT let her beat you” That was enough for Gail to win the race. She also enjoyed spending time in South Park with her crew The South Park Slicks.

Gail left her home in Los Angeles and ventured to Stockton, CA in 1980, there she raised her three Sons and a Daughter who was born in Stockton, CA. She later met and married Arnold Ray Taylor to that union no children were born, but she gladly accepted Ray’s four children as her own, just as he did hers.

Gail McLean was baptized in Los Angeles at an early age. She enjoyed going to church. In Los Angeles she attended Tabernacle of Faith Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of

Rev. E. Bowning, where she served on the usher board. She loved serving on the Ursher board and really enjoyed the march, it was something about that pivot she really loved. Gail moved her membership to Las Vegas, NV where she joined with Ignited Praise Fellowship under the leadership of Pastor Perryetta Lacy. She became the President of the usher board. She loved serving for the Lord. She remained on the Usher Board as a doorkeeper until her health started to decline.

Gail loved the Lord, she enjoyed spending time with her family, playing card games in the clubhouse with her friends, Gail loved eating; her children would often tease her saying “smoke is not an invitation to a bar-b-q”

Gail’s grandchildren were her pride and joy! She had a unique relationship with each one and a special relationship with her Grandsons. In Gail’s free time, she would go out with her good friend Wizdom, cheering her on at her musical events. She also spent time at the casinos, she would say she was “Going to Work” and was heading to play Keno. Gail and her daughter had a joke about playing slots “On a Tuesday” She always seemed to hit on Tuesdays.

What Is A Mother
She is grace and beauty
She is strength and tenderness
She is love reaching out
She is helping hands
She is a gentle touch to her children
But, most of all,
She is a daughter to the King,
And can do all things when she
draws her strength from GOD.

When I leave
When I leave you don’t weep for me.
Pass the wine around and remember
How my laughing pleased you.
Look, at one another, smiling,
And don’t forget about touching.
Sing the songs that I loved best
And dance one time all together.
As for me, I’ll be off, running
Somewhere on the beach, and I’ll fly
To the top of the tree I
Always meant to climb,
When you’re ready, I’ll be there __
Waiting for you
Take your time
