I met Gail 18 years ago when she started watching my daughter Maia in her home! We just fell in love with Gail & Doug both!! We had remained friends after Maia grew up, we went to our mammograms together & met for lunch even after we moved away we texted & talked mostly about baseball!!! I will miss her dearly!! She was my friend!!

Gail (my cousin) will always be remembered for her kindness and her warm, genuine smile. 

A most memorable moment happened when our families were at Disneyland (Anaheim, CA)  back in the mid-70's.  Going on the "Pirates of the Caribbean" ride seemed like a good idea. Just by chance, we were directed to board the front row of the next boat with Gail sitting between me (250+ lbs) and my father (even larger yet). We settled in, but when the boat plunged down the ramp to the water below, instead of the bow rising upon hitting the water, the bow went straight in, not rising until a wall of water poured over the deck, onto the three of us, and then filled our boat with approximately six inches of water. We traveled the entire ride, soaking wet, with our feet in the water. We had a great laugh afterward (it was vacation , after all), and knew we would be telling this story many times in the years to come.

Sara Jane (my wife) and I were making plans to visit with Gail on our next trip out west, but instead have to live with the regret that visit will never occur. Even so, Gail's memory will live on in our hearts, and will always bring on a warm, genuine smile.
