I am a parent who often judged speech and debate events. Garrett was one of those kiddos. What a great kid... polite, kind and a joy to watch during debates. I am so, so sorry this happened to him. The speech and debate community here in Las Vegas has been profoundly affected by his passing. May your family be able to find peace in the future.

Garrett had a positive impact on everybody that he ever came across. He was a bright light in a world full of darkness. He certainly had that impact on me.  My prayers are with you all during this time.

The only words that come to mind is...Steve and Debbie, you raised a beautiful  soul. His light touched so many people. My daughter included...@SEAS, Rogich and Palo. I remember the day she ran into him @Rogich. She came home so excited! Garrett was with her!  It was like "home" like being @SEAS. She was happy, he was her friend and she adored him. At Palo, whenever they'd run into each other, it was always talking and laughing. She said he was one of those people who made you smile. My daughter will carry him in her heart forever.  We pray for your family with love and faith.
