

He is survived by his devoted wife, Eleanor Konrad, to whom he was married for 66 remarkable years. He will be deeply missed by his children; son Stephen Konrad, daughter Deborah Rosselit and husband James Rosselit, son John Konrad and wife Tina Konrad, as well as his six grandchildren Stephanie Duckworth, Stacie Sosa, Jenifer Sharp, Justin Rosselit, Amy Konrad, Colter Konrad, and nine great grandchildren, along with his two sisters, Irene and Kathleen.
George was born on June 24, 1933 in Indianapolis Indiana. George joined the U.S. Army in 1951 and is a veteran of the Korean War, serving his country with honor and distinction. He built his career being a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff for 15 years before retiring in 1983. He was a man of God, serving with the Knights of Columbus. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who always put the needs of his loved ones before his own. He was known for his quick wit and contagious sense of humor, which always brought laughter and joy to those around him.
Throughout his life, George was an active person who loved to stay busy. He always enjoyed the camaraderie of his friends and loved nothing more than to be out on the golf course, bowling alley or playing table tennis. He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife and family. He was always generous and kind-hearted, and will be remembered for his selfless nature and unwavering love for his family.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Kathleen Konrad and his brothers Henry and Tom and sisters Clara-Mae and Rosemary. He will be forever missed and eternally loved by all who knew him. The family will receive friends at the Palms Cheyenne Mortuary at 3 to 5 PM January 16, 2023 with memorial services at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church January 17 at 10 AM. He will be laid to rest at the Bunker’s Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Las Vegas with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

A visitation for George will be held Monday, January 16, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89128. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Bunker's Memory Gardens Memorial Park, 7251 W Lone Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89129.
