Mr. Gerald P. Newberry, 68, a retired newspaper man, of Las Vegas, passed away April 16, 2012. He was born July 10, 1943 in Hermosa Beach, CA and had been a resident of Nevada since 2005. Gerald is survived by his son Kevin D. Newberry, daughter Robin R. Bussey, adopted son Scott King, his brother Bert Newberry and his sister Joyce Wood. Gerald is also survived by his 3 grandsons, Kevin “Scooter” Bussey, Kody Newberry and Kaleb Bussey. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146. A service is scheduled for Wednesday April 25, 2012 at 11:00 am also at Palm Mortuary with a graveside service to follow at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV at 1:20 pm.
