To everyone around Gloria, she seemed to be eternally happy, and she willingly shared that joy with anyone whose life she touched. For Gloria, bringing out the best in any situation was as easy as offering a smile, a witty remark or the twinkle of an eye. And with just those simple gestures, she could evoke the most pleasant of emotions. Gloria really mastered the art of living and had great fun in doing so.
Gloria was born on May 21, 1952 in Cd. Juarez Chihuahua, Mexico. Her parents were Leobardo Rodriguez and Olivia Hernandez. Gloria was raised in Cd. Juarez Chihuahua, Mexico, and Las Vegas, Nevada. Even as a child, Gloria had the ability to lift the spirits of all those around her. She was raised to be warm, caring and friendly. She couldn’t help but capture everyone’s attention.
Always a good playmate, Gloria was easygoing and fun loving. She managed to lighten the mood wherever she was. Gloria was raised with six siblings. She had four brothers, Leobardo, Carlos, Jorge, and Javier, and two sisters, Dora, and Patricia. Gloria grew up to be a kind, patient, and warm hearted young women. Everyone was drawn to her energy and captivated by her smile.
On December 22, 1972 Gloria exchanged wedding vows with Alvaro Rosales in CD. Juarez, Mexico. She loved Alvaro unconditionally and they built a beautiful life together. They set a wonderful example for their children.
Gloria's ability to be just a “kid at heart” helped her in raising her own children. Gloria was blessed with three daughters, Lorena, Olivia, and Yadira. She was also blessed with seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren, Byanka, Krystal, Miguel, Alexandra, Giovanni, DeAngelo, Aytalee, Dominik, Deven, Dex, and Carlee. Gloria had the ability to focus her attention on the present moment. If she was spending time with the kids, that’s where all of her attention was directed. Gloria's compassionate side prevented her from being a strict disciplinarian, and she could turn just about any situation into a playful, learning experience. She could spend hours entertaining them with fun and creative play. She loved her girls with all of her heart and would do anything for them.
Gloria enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were dancing, watching her grandchildren play, watching soccer and baseball, cooking for her family, going on vacations with her family, and spending quality time with the people she loved. Gloria was content to enjoy her hobbies alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Gloria passed away on March 4, 2018 at home in Las Vegas, Nevada surrounded by her family. Gloria fought a brave battle against cancer. She is survived by husband, Alvaro, her mother, Olivia, her children, Lorena, Olivia, and Yadira, her seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Services were held at Palm Northwest Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada. Gloria was laid to rest in Palm Northwest Cemetery in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Gloria brought joy to all of those around her. She never had a mean bone in her body. She loved to have a good time and was an eternal optimist, always looking on the bright side of things. She loved to share her energy, wit, and her zest for all of her activities with her friends and family. Gloria Rosales lived life to its fullest and made everyone around her happier just for knowing her. She will be remembered with a smile.
