Gregory “Bingo” Thomas Price, 62, passed away suddenly on March 11. Born September 14, 1963, in Santa Maria, California, to Flora Jean von Rambow and Tommy Ross Price, Greg lived a life shaped by speed, hard work, and fierce loyalty to family and friends.
Greg’s love of racing began early. At age five his father bought him his first bike, and he spent afternoons riding across the street from the house and launching off the steps — the very first sparks of a lifelong passion for motorcycles and the desert. He began racing MRAN in 1977 while a freshman in high school and was an active member of the motorcycle club at Brinley Middle School. He attended Western High School and Antelope Valley High School. He graduated in 1981. After graduating he started racing with Best in the Desert, competing on the desert circuits he loved.
After high school Greg started working at the test site and then soon built a steady career with Operating Engineers Local 12 beginning in 1988, where he worked for 38 years. After starting with Operating Engineers he met his wife, Toni Lee Price.
Once starting with the union he continued racing with Best in the Desert, MRAN, SNORE, SNARE and many more — from 516s Baja Bugs to quads and dirt bikes, and working the pits. When Dylan came into his life, Greg poured his love of racing and the desert into him; they bonded deeply over the sport.
Greg was a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather (known affectionately as “Bumpa”), and a great friend to many. He entered into heaven and was greeted by his younger sister, Cheryl Price. He is survived by his wife, Toni Lee Price; stepson Dylan Pool and daughter-in-law Riley Pool; grandson Brody Pool; his mother, Flora Jean von Rambow; cousins; and a large circle of cherished friends. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, devotion to family, and the easy way he made people feel welcome and cared for.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Palm Northwest Mortuary, Juniper Hall & Aspen Suite, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, Nevada 89131, on April 4, 2026, beginning at 3:00 pm.
