To Gunner.

Hey Gunner! I remember when I went to elementary with you and we had Ms. Gourley in 4th grade. You lit up the room with your jokes and uplifting personality. I remember you showing me your metal retainer too lol. We all miss you so much, but we know that you are free of pain and suffering and in a better place. I send my prayers to your family and loved ones.

I remember back in first grade we sat next to each other for I think the whole year. Ms. Freter had to tell us to be quiet a lot of times because all we were doing was laughing and having fun. My condolences go to the Negrete family. Gunner was an amazing friend and I wish I had gotten more time to spend with him. 

To the family of Gunner,
I’ve known Gunner since elementary school, yet we didn’t get close till sophomore year of High school. He was always happy and smiling. I remember laughing with him in bio-med class over silly stuff or talking to him over the phone about traveling. Gunner was ambitious, kind, adventurous, and so much more. He was a great friend to many here at Northwest and he definitely has a special place in my heart. Fly high man!

The first time I met you you were about 4, we all camped at Cottonwood Cove. You and my son had such a great time that weekend. I'll never forget the giraffe tent, it took quite a few adults to put that together lol!  Then there was the time we all went to the Recycled Percussion "concert".  You, your cousin and Nic playing "drums" during the concert, that was such a great time.
The last time I spoke to you, you were much older (and a lot wiser than me!).  You showed me a few magic tricks and explained to me why Mac is better than Windows and why the iPhone is superior to an Android.  All I could think was "this kid is WAY smarter than me", LOL!
You'll be missed, but  the wonderful memories we all have of you will keep your beautiful spirit alive, always.

I remember when I first met Gunner, Amy had just adopted him and they were in their new home.  She was so happy to be a Mom.  Watching him grow up to be to become such a wonderful young man.  A great son to Amy & Julia and a great big brother.  We will all remember you and hold you dear in our hearts.

TO the family of Gunner,
You guys have raised such a wonderful man, he turned out to be one of the nicest caring friends that I have ever met. Gunner has helped me during my times of struggle and gave me the advice to keep going and to not look at the negatives but the positives and to look towards the light and follow. I never knew Gunner's advice would come in handle especially now but I don't ever forget a time where Gunner has helped me and he has never said anything wrong, Gunner will forever live in my memories as a friend and as a brother.

Gunner was the sweetest little boy, the perfect playmate for my daughter. He was always kind and gentle and generous, even at a very young age. Sierra still has the gold ring he gave her about 15 years ago. I remember how well dressed he was, always in a stylish outfit picked out by his loving momma. Gunner will always hold a special place in my heart. Rest in peace little buddy ❤️ 

Gunner was that student that helped others. As he was a motivator to his peers and teachers, he was also a positive light of energy that shined respect among all those he came across. One afternoon he came in to discuss the canned comments for progress report cards and he said something along the lines of I need to know what I can do to improve my participation. I told him I put that for all the senior classes as apathy and senioritis starts to kick in quickly. He laughed and was immediately understanding and forgiving that I didn’t individualize his canned comments. He was a very active participant in class and his positive energy will be missed in our period three reasoning and sense making in math class. Rest In Peace Gunner the love you gave is still here in our hearts ♥️ always. Thank you for being a part of this crazy math class. 

Gunner holds a very special place in my heart as he was my godson💕 What wonderful memories, happy times, and special moments I shared with him.  He was a blessing sent from Heaven to fill our lives with warmth and love.  Mi Niño Bello~ you are loved beyond words, missed beyond measure, y siempre en mi corazon.

So I was taking the kids to movies in Vegas, poor Gunner was appalled that we were going to Walmart before the movie to buy candy, and snacks to sneak into the movie theater...it was hilarious I told him yes you are with your ghetto aunt this is how we do it...

I remember how exited we all were to meet Gunner. I remember him as a sweet , kind , and fun loving toddler . I remember all his cool themed parties Amy would plan , specially his pirate party. He was the coolest pirate. I remember taking Gunner to Mount Charleston to enjoy the snow.

I met gunner back i Freshman year. We had a few classes together. He was the nicest, sweetest, caring person I got to know.  All the times I have talked to him during class we’re funny. Being in a class group were fun. He was never rude about anything. biomed was the best class to have with him. 

Recently Gunner messaged me, excited to tell me his very own ghost adventures while staying at the Mizpah Hotel.  He knew I would love hearing about it as we shared a mutual love for scary movies and haunted houses. Gunner told me he really wanted to visit the Warren's Museum to see the infamous haunted Annabelle Doll. I remember when we all went to see one of the Annabelle movies on one of his trips back to Iowa. I loved that Gunner mentioned Iowa was his favorite place to travel because my sons certainly looked forward to having him here! I wish I wouldve made more time to spend with him. But that's the thing about time-you always think you'll have more time later, but really now is all we have. Gunner will be missed in Iowa. We were blessed to know him and love him. 

Gunner was one of the first few friends I made during senior year. We had a plan to escalate bringing food to class. It first started off with food from my culinary class to bringing the whole class a pizza party. Our future goal was to have our table eating a 5 star meal. I hope we can make it to that point in honor of him.

I trained him at one of his first jobs and i would spend hours just talking to him and laughing and helping him learn everything there is about cafe rio he was one of my best friends and always will be he helped me in so many ways and I’ll be grateful for that.

I first met Gunner at a birthday party. He did the most amazing magic trick for me. He took my empty water bottle and put a quarter in his palm. Somehow he was able to get the quarter into the bottom of the water bottle. He then invited me to his birthday party, where he performed a whole magic show. He was so funny, talented and sweet.
