

Harold Robert Curry, 84, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2012. He was born on November 2, 1927 at the Curry homestead in Parks, Arizona to Robert James and Mabel Mae Curry. Mr. Curry was a veteran of the Army and served during WWII. After his service, he became a carpenter and worked on the El Tovar Hotel at the south entrance of the Grand Canyon National Park, among many other projects. He later worked for Reynold’s Electrictrical Engineering Company in Las Vegas and was stationed at the Nevada Test Site. He retired in 1983. An avid outdoorsman, Harold made a priority of exploring the National Parks and wide open spaces of the United States, Canada and Mexico throughout his life. Harold is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Betty Jane, parents, Robert and Mabel, brothers Richard and Virgil, and sister Rosalie. He is survived by his daughters Jean Victoria of Henderson, NV, Etta Mae of Neosho, WI, brother Carl of Prescott, AZ, grand-daughter Kristina Louise of Las Vegas, NV, and his beloved great-grandson Benjamin Charles. A viewing will be held at Palm Mortuary, 6701 North Jones Blvd., Las Vegas Nevada 89131, on Thursday, November 1, 2012, from 9-11am, followed by a graveside service at 12pm.
