Ted was born November 23, 1940, in Pampa, Texas, to Harry and Melba Ivey Roe.
He graduated from John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City and proudly served in the United States Navy from 1958-1961. After leaving military service, Ted embarked on a lifelong journey of entrepreneurship, owning and operating myriad small businesses throughout the American Southwest.
At the time of his passing, Ted was enjoying his retirement years in the favorable climate of Las Vegas. Throughout his life, he was dedicated to the service of others through his work with Rotary International and several other charitable organizations, especially those committed to helping at-risk youth and those struggling with alcoholism and chemical dependence. An avid fisherman and world traveller, Ted also enjoyed the thrills of being a private aircraft pilot for over 20 years, a hobby he loved dearly.
Ted is survived by his children, Jennifer Lynn Roe and Parker Otwell Roe and grandchildren, Kimberly Lanette Sidwell, Kristy Nicolle Sidwell, and Dylan Porter Larry Whatley. Also left to cherish his memory are countless friends across the United States.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00AM on December 4, 2010, at Palm Mortuary 1600 South Jones.
