

Henry “Sonny Man” Howard
Henry “Sonny Man” Howard was born August 20, 1927 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Eddie and Annie Laura Wilson Howard. Five sisters and three brothers have preceded him in death.
Mr. Sonny Man is the last leaf to fall from the tree. From a youth he would comb the South moving to Greenville, Mississippi later moving to Lockport, Louisiana where he worked in a sugar cane factory, eventually retiring as a crane operator. He accepted Christ early in life and had a passion for the word of the Lord. He believed in his heart that prayer changes things. Before moving to North Las Vegas, Nevada, he resided in Clinton Louisiana.
Henry “Sonny Man” leaves to cherish his memories, Ms. Essie B. Bumpus, six daughters; Shelia Howard Jackson (Ernest) of Marreno, Louisiana, LaAngela Howard of Raceland, Louisiana, Bernice Howard Turner (Ernest) of Lockport, Louisiana, Geraldine Turner of Zachary, Louisiana, Melvina H. Ray (Minister Billy Ray) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Ruby Howard of New York, New York and four sons; Earl Howard of Raceland, Louisiana, Benjamin Howard of Monroe, Louisiana, Gerald Howard of Raceland, Louisiana, and Eddie Berry (Howard) of Houston, Texas.
A host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends join in mourning his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, three brothers, one daughter, and two sons.
