He attended school in Rawlins then joined the Marines after graduation and served in Korea. After leaving the military he worked for the Carbon County Sheriff's Department, Wyoming
Highway Patrol and the Las Vegas City Police Department which merged with the Clark County Sheriff's Department to form the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.. He retired in
July 1989.
Mike enjoyed spending time in Mexico with his friends until his health made it impossible.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Paulette, children Kandi, Michael and Kelli (deceased), and grandchildren Michael, Kristi, Nicholas (Kate), Karli, Kelsi, Thain and Mikayla.
The family will continue to cherish the memories made and the legacy left. No services are planned.
