Howard Charles Walls, Jr.; born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on September 23, 1986. His parents are Howard C. Walls, Sr. and the late Renetta McLin Walls. He graduated from Augusta Christian High School of Augusta, Georgia in 2005, where his favorite classes were history and science. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science from from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2010. He also pursued graduate school, earning his Master of Science in Aeronautical Science with concentration in operations and safety from Embry-Riddle. His favorite courses in college were single and multi-engine aircraft flight training, meteorology and Safety.
Howard’s primary occupation was quality control and safety. He was also trained as a multi-engine pilot. He is presently employed by Allegiant Airlines, headquarter in Las Vegas, Nevada where he is the Director of Quality Control and Safety. Howard also worked for Spirit Airline and Continental Airline.
His favorite pursuits were flying, cycling and Track and Field High Hurdling. Later he gained a passion for motorcycling. In high school, he was the State Champion in Track and Field High Hurdling for both South Carolina and Georgia. Howard received his private single-engine pilot license at age 17.He continued his passion for track and field in college, gaining the rank of “NAIA All American High Hurdler” for four years. As an adult, he participated in the local Las Vegas corporate challenge, coming in 2nd overall score.
Howard left this life on March 4, 2018 at University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is survived by his father, Howard C. Walls, Sr. of North Augusta, SC., his grandmother, Ladoris McLin of New Orleans, LA., one maternal uncle, Keith McLin of New Orleans, LA., and one paternal aunt, Wanda Walls Powell of Columbia, MD., and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Howard leaves to cherish, his step- mother Carol Walls of North Augusta, SC., his step grandmother Bernadine McLin of Florence, Ms., God parents, Milton and Itella Grant of Florence, MS., and a host of friends.
Howards going home service will be held on March 13, 2018, 11:00am at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 476 R.T. Braddy Rd. Florence, Mississippi, He will be laid to rest at Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Braxton, Mississippi
