

He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1958, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He received a football scholarship and attended Northwestern University, in Evanston, IL. One of his favorite hobbies was training horses. Hurley was also a big sports fan.
He retired from Abbott Laboratories, in North Chicago, IL and later moved to Las Vegas, NV. He soon had become a member of Remnant Ministries.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Alford, Alvin, Troy, and Thomas; and three sisters, Jeannie, Dorothy, and Alma.
He leaves to cherish his memories, Patricia Nelson, a dedicated loving companion for 23 years; his son, Andre Hines, Sr., two grandchildren, Andre, Jr. and Anyet Hines, one brother, John Hines of North Chicago; two sisters, Betty Rhone (Ebbie, Jr.) of Carson, CA, and Brenda Hines of Tulsa, OK; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.
