I read on-line of Igor's passing. My sincere sympathies. May the love of family and friends comfort you in your grief.
In the bottom of an old pond lived some grubs who could not understand why none of their groups ever came back after crawling up the stems of the lilies to the top of the water. They promised each other that the next one who was called to make the upward climb would return and tell what happened to him. Soon one of them felt an urgent impulse to seek the surface; he rested himself on the top of a lily pad and went through a glorious transformation which made him a dragonfly with beautiful wings. In vain he tried to keep his promise. Flying back and forth over the pond, he peered down at his friends below. Then he realized that even if they could see him they would not recognize such a radiant creature as one of their number.
The fact that we cannot see our loved ones or communicate with them after the transformation, which we call death, is no proof that they cease to exist. By Walter Dudley Cavert (used with permission)

I've cried so much since this happened, I can't understand why??.
I still remember Officer Henry Prendes killed on 2006, and the other Metro officer killed on 2009 at home, and now this two heroes have died for no reason.
God Bless You Metro Police, and I beg God to show me a way to help the department somehow to honor you guys.
Receive my respect and love.
Rest in peace Igor, my brother...
From Yasser, a Cuban that had to flee his land just like you did.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

I am from a law enforcement family. Our world was a better place because of this officer. Not only is Las Vegas grieving, we here in South Dakota and the rest of the nation is devastated as well.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God--Matthew 5:9.

Rest in peace brother. We have the watch now.

You came to country and could of did anything you wanted but you chose an occupation that less than 1% qualify for and have the capability of doing and for that I thank you. To the family of Igor Soldo, I thank you for allow your son to serve the community, I know its difficult to watch you love one head off to work in the most dangerous job in this country. I just we could of done more to protect him. I hurts me greatly, because I'm part of that law enforcement family, not in Las Vegas, and know the type of dedication, commitment and trust one must have when serving the public. I wish you the best in the future and will never forget Igor especially when I out and about and I see a Metro patrol car. God Bless your family.

Thank you Officer Soldo for your service to our community. Thoughts & prayers to your family, friends & LVMPD. Rest in peace.
